Dr Roya Khalil

Roya Khalil holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, PhD in plastics composite engineering with an agricultural waste product  & MBA specialising in strategic innovation. Roya has 17 years of senior leadership experience in manufacturing & fast-moving consumer goods, working with some of industry leaders such as Orora Packaging Bega Cheese, CocaCola Amatil, SPC Ardmona and Plantic Technologies. She has a demonstrated track record of developing & converting innovation strategies to profitable success, specialising in commercialisation of patented technologies, such as the ecoplastic technology used in meat packaging worldwide. Roya’s experience also included guest lecturing on food packaging at Monash University as part of the Master of Food Engineering, RMIT University for Bachelor of Food Science and UNSW for the Bachelor of Food Engineering, combined with being a researcher or investigator in numerous programs, such CRC-polymers for biopolymers, Dairy Innovation Australia, Australia-China Joint Resource Centre with Monash University. Roya as also co supervised a number of PhD students, examined PhD thesis and student confirmations.
