Celebrating National Agriculture Day 2025
Happy National Agriculture Day 2025!
National Agriculture Day, held annually on the third Friday of November (21 November 2025), is Australia’s biggest celebration of the people, sector, and innovation that keep us fed, clothed and housed. Organised by the National Farmers’ Federation, this year’s theme “Stand with the Land” calls on all Australians to unite in solidarity with those who work tirelessly to feed and sustain our nation.
Through droughts, fires, and floods, rising costs and challenges, the Australian farming community have demonstrated remarkable resilience. From grain growers to livestock producers, horticulturists to viticulturists, our agricultural sector not only sustains our communities but drives the future for a stronger, more sustainable Australia.
At the Hub, our team of researchers and industry partners are dedicated to developing innovative fertiliser systems that optimise nutrient delivery while minimising environmental impact, helping farmers increase productivity whilst reducing emissions and nutrient runoff that effect downstream environments and communities.
Through our research across controlled release technologies, precision application systems, and plant-soil-microbiome interactions, we aim to provide farmers with the tools they need to produce more with a view to reduce N pollution whilst remaining yield efficient, supporting the resilience and sustainability of Australian agriculture for generations to come. This work includes recent research on sustainable coatings for controlled release fertilisers and improving nitrogen use efficiency.
As we Stand with the Land this National Agriculture Day, we acknowledge and celebrate the incredible contribution of Australia’s farmers and the indigenous first people who were the first farmers of the land. We reaffirm our commitment to supporting their vital work through innovative, sustainable fertiliser solutions.
