Maximising sector wide value (Theme 5)

This theme will support translation of Hub findings into agricultural practices by demonstrating the economic, social and environmental benefits through broad-based extension and communication mechanisms. Using a wide range of data sources the team will map potential benefits of new products, identify sources of value creation within commercial value chains and develop mechanisms for communicating this value to farmers and consumers. A social benefit-cost analysis will be conducted of new products developed by the Hub to identify and quantify wider economic, environmental and social benefits. This analysis will enable the development of a decision support tool.
